Dax LOVES his ball!!!!!

 Dax spent about a half hour catching the ball today and when he was tired, he flopped on the ground for a rest

But it wasn't long before he couldn't resist the ball in front of him and had to give it a bit of a chew!

And then had a bit of a rest again to catch his breath!



Happy 5th Birthday!

Even 5 year olds need to have a nap in the fetal position!

 

Today is Dax's 5th Birthday. He has been in 'squeaky toy heaven' as he has two new ones today. He loves them both and they will certainly keep him entertained while he tries to figure out how to remove those squeakers!

Dax Watches Television!

Dax was enjoying the Brazilian girl dancers (he really likes girls) during the closing 2012 Olympic's closing ceremony. He didn't like the male 'scary' dancers who performed next - he stopped watching then!

Ice Cubes Are Dax's New Addiction!

 Dax seemed very interested in ice cubes, much to our surprise!

 He was a little tentative at first

But he made short work of it and asked for several more - he must've gone through five or six of them! Who knew?

Ducks and Bullfrogs!

 Hey! What are those?

 Is that a duck?

 Hey Mum! Ducks!

 I hear bullfrogs! Where are they?

I wonder if they are in here - oh, I'm going to have a drink.....Bullfrog!

Oh No!

Mum's putting her 'going to work' clothes on again! Big sigh!

Dax Gets Dirty!

 A walk to the pond today and Dax got brave - he went into the pond!

 Here he is in the murky marsh part of the pond, of course!

 Yup! He's mucky!

And he managed to pick up a few burrs! Here he spotted a couple of birds flying overhead and he ran after them with his eyes in the sky! He soon realized he couldn't catch them - but he wanted to!

Dax's Day

 Dax's day started off with a nap after breakfast!

 Then he spent some time on the back deck topping up his Vitamin D

Next, he waited at the front door for 'Dad' to get home from work!

Here he is ending the day watching the birds and the rest of the world go by! I think he's found his new favourite 'spot'!

Dirty Feet!

 Dax walked through some mud! Obviously he doesn't mind the squishy between the toes, thing!

 Dax being a dog, sniffing everything!

Dax decided he needed to wash the mud off his feet, but something spooked him! There were a couple of geese swimming on the other side!

 Here is smelling the end of a blade grass....something must've smelled rather interesting!

It was a good walk for Dax, he had to have a lay down when he got back home!

Dax Loves To Be Out On the Deck!

 Dax sat out on the deck for a good 10 minutes just watching the world go by!

They he realized I was taking his photo and gave me his "I love you Mum!" face!

Absolutely no idea why!

 We have no idea why Dax was sitting like this....

but he was sure trying to get some attention! Hee hee!



Prince Dax!

Dax sat on the edge of the rug, staring longingly at the fire.....so we moved his bed in front of the fire....spoiled rotten Prince!

Dax and his Platypus!

Dax has a toy platypus that we can stuff soft squeaky "platypus" eggs into the tummy and he loves to pull them out and make them squeak! He also loves it when we throw the squeaky egg for him to fetch! This day, I threw and he fetched for over 20 minutes and would've kept going! Still, it sure was nice to see that happy face!

Do Ya Wanna?

 It never ceases to amaze me how, even in a deep sleep, just hearing those three words "Do ya wanna?"

can have Dax on full alert and ready to go for that walk!
